This week, we’re celebrating a milestone — ten years of Five Barrels Brewing, a true family-run operation and proud part of the South Coast Ale Trail.

They opened in December 2015 as just the second brewery in the Illawarra — and back then, five barrels really was the whole brewery. From those humble beginnings, they’ve grown steadily over the past decade while staying fiercely independent and community focused.

Based in Wollongong, Five Barrels have carved out a reputation for balanced, approachable beers brewed with consistency and care. No hype chasing — just well-made beer and a strong connection to their local supporters.
