Jervis Bay Brewing Co are throwing their support behind World Oceans Day this June, with a full long-weekend lineup of events raising funds for the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
The brewery’s June Charity of the Month campaign is all about celebrating and protecting Australia’s oceans and marine life — something pretty close to home for a brewery sitting right on the NSW coast.
Events include an ocean-themed trivia night, a shoreline-inspired art exhibition featuring local artists, live music across the weekend, a huge community raffle packed with prizes from local businesses, plus a special fundraising dinner with profits going directly to ocean conservation.
There’ll also be a screening of the ocean conservation documentary “No More Woes,” followed by a live Q&A with director Seb Ashton.
It’s another great example of how independent breweries are increasingly becoming community hubs — bringing people together around local causes, sustainability and live events, not just beer.
Activities run across the June long weekend and continue through until the 10th of June at Jervis Bay Brewing Co.
