Big industry news this week — Sauce Brewing Co is officially up for sale.
Founded in 2016 and based in Marrickville in Sydney’s Inner West, Sauce built a strong reputation for bold, hop-forward beers and eye-catching branding. They were part of that wave of breweries that helped define modern Aussie craft — hazies, big IPAs, pastry stouts — the lot.
The sale listing includes the brand, recipes, brewing equipment and the Marrickville site, presenting an opportunity for a new owner to step in and either continue the Sauce legacy or take it in a new direction.
It’s another reminder that the Australian craft beer landscape is still adjusting. Rising costs, competition and shifting consumer habits are putting pressure on independent breweries — even well-known names.
But with strong brand recognition and an established following, this could be a serious opportunity for the right buyer.
